Description

Burning Bush Barn Contemplative Art Space is tucked away in the quiet village of Rockland St Mary, 6 miles south of Norwich. It is situated in a beautiful, simple barn conversion, close to the parish church of St Mary's, and is supported by the Diocese of Norwich. Established in 2009 as a place to develop spiritual growth through creative expression, it offers a humble sanctuary to centre the soul.

Opening times:
Whilst we aim to open most Thursday to Sunday afternoons 1-4 pm for general visiting, this is not always possible so do please check with us before planning your trip. Regular updates on particular events taking place at the barn can be found on our blog www.burningbushbarn.blogspot.co.uk

By car: From Norwich take the A146 Lowestoft road. After the major interchange with the A47 turn left onto the Kirby Bedon/Surlingham/Rockland St Mary/Langley road and continue for 5 miles. As you enter Rockland St Mary from the north take the second turning on the right into School Lane. Take the lane on the right hand side opposite the school. This is Rectory Lane. You can park your car in the car park on the right. You will see the barn on the left hand side and the church straight ahead of you.
By public transport: There is a limited bus service between Norwich and Rockland St Mary. www.travelineeastanglia.co.uk You will need to ask for the stop opposite School Lane in Rockland St Mary. Then follow the directions as above.
A train station and airport link Norwich with other parts of the country and internationally.
On foot: From Rectory Lane follow the directions as above. There is a footpath continuing from Rectory Lane through the Churchyard and beyond.

Facilities

There is disabled access into the building and a wheelchair accessible toilet.
Tea/coffee etc are normally offered by the hospitaller on duty, as are art materials which can be used by pilgrims. There is a serene, rurally situated garden with mature trees nearby, with a wheelchair accessible ramp. B & B available in the village and the surrounding area, including of course a large choice in Norwich.
