The Labyrinth, Windsworth, Looe

Open to the four winds – whatever the weather there’s a lot of it here! The sense of achievement in gaining access to the labyrinth adds to the tranquillity of the place itself. It is a beautiful place, with stunning views, and extraordinarily quiet and peaceful especially as the old coast path to it is currently closed. It is always open.

The Old Coast Path, Windsworth, Looe, Cornwall, PL13 1NZ, United Kingdom

Grid reference:SX 281 540

By car: From Nomansland (near Looe) follow signs (1.5 miles) to the Monkey Sanctuary gate; turn right, go half a mile to National Trust Bodigga Cliff, SX 273 543.
From there walk down through the National Trust land, over a stile with a ‘Path closed’ sign (don’t worry! the landslip that caused the path to be closed is beyond the labyrinth), and then a beautiful but stiff up-and-down half-mile walk along the old coast path.

By public transport (rail/bus): nearest railway station 4 miles, nearest bus stop 2 miles; if you want to come by train/bus please email/phone for directions.

On foot: By the South West Coast Path. If coming from Looe go through Millendreath and up to National Trust Bodigga Cliff, then follow the car directions from there; if coming from Seaton, please email/phone for directions.

Unfortunately the terrain makes it unsuitable for disabled access and there are no toilet facilities. Accommodation is available at Windsworth Old Coach House, self-catering for up to 8 people - see - and it could be suitable for quiet days for individuals or groups.
