The Pales, Llandegley

Description

The Pales is the oldest Quaker Meeting House in Wales in continuous use. It is still an active place of worship (Quaker Meeting for Worship at 3 p.m. on the 3rd Sunday of some months) and a place for prayer and reflection.
Built in 1717, it is a stone building with a thatched roof. The Cottage, built at a later date, has in the past been occupied by a Friend in Residence. There are extensive grounds with a pond, a peace pole, flower borders, woodland and a Quaker burial ground. There are glorious views and an atmosphere of peace and serenity.

The Meeting House and toilets are currently closed to casual visitors, as there is no longer have a warden on site, but the grounds are always open for visitors to enjoy.
