St. Mary, Netherbury
A large 14th century Grade 1 listed church (with earlier origin) looking down over the village from Tower Hill. Beautiful and inspiring view over local Dorset countryside.
The resources for silence, prayer and meditation are varied and are changed from time to time. Currently there is the opportunity to light a candle, a prayer pool with pebbles and a prayer line for anyone to leave their own prayer. There are folders of prayers and readings to use in church with other prayers to take away. In Lent there will be a ‘Tree of the knowledge of good and evil’ for reflection. There is also an Introduction to the Bible display on the south side of the church.
