St. John the Baptist, North Baddesley, Southampton
An ancient church, seeped in prayer, which provides a peaceful haven away from the villages that surround it, with views over the Hampshire countryside. Butterflies are often seen in the graveyard, and sometimes fly into the church itself. Small butterfly symbols - which have long represented of resurrection and hope - are available for visitors to take home.
Standard opening times: 10 am - 4 pm
Services: 8 am Holy Communion on 2nd and 4th Sundays, Evensong at 6 pm on 5th Sunday.

From Southampton - take Botley Road (A27) into North Baddesley; turn right at the crossroads (Nutburn Road) and follow round to Flexford Road. The church is on the left.
From Romsey - as above but turn left at the traffic lights.
There is a step in to the church but wheelchair ramp available. Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities. Beadles Tea Rooms in the village is open on weekdays, (and has toilets) and there are more facilities in Romsey (4 miles away). The nearest B & B is Wrens Farm Guest House, about 1 mile away.
