Description

300 year old chapel with a welcoming atmosphere in beautiful and peaceful "wild" but managed churchyard and gardens on the edge of village. Next door is the Little Baddow History Centre with exhibitions and information.

Standard opening times: Sundays 10.30 - 11.30 am and at other times March to November when the History Centre is open (Wednesdays 2-4 pm, Thursday 10 am-12 noon, 2nd Sunday in the month 2-4 pm), or by arrangement.

By Car:
From Maldon:- take A414 towards Chelmsford - at double mini roundabout in centre of Danbury take 3rd exit into Little Baddow Road. After passing the General’s Arms pub turn left at crossroads into Colam Lane, turn left at T junction, Chapel on left at next junction. Parking on site and on Church Road.
From London:- A12 junction 18 (A414), take 3rd exit on 1st roundabout, 1st exit on 2nd roundabout (Hammond Road). Proceed to junction with Church Road, turn right and continue to next junction with Chapel Lane on right. The Chapel is on the right.
By public transport:
Trains to Chelmsford. Buses to Eves Corner, Danbury (long walk of 2½ miles), some buses to Little Baddow General’s Arms pub, turn left into Colam Lane at crossroads (approx ½ mile walk).

Facilities

Wheelchair access; covered and open seating areas and toilets available at all times (including disabled facilities); peaceful garden (gently sloping); view across valley; tea making facilities on site and 2 pubs and tearoom close by; Cream Teas 2.30-4.30 pm on 2nd Sunday afternoons April to October. Quiet days available if needed. Hospitaller available by appointment. B&B's in village and Danbury.
